Beach Scrapbook Layouts
Beach Scrapbook Layouts can convey different meanings depending on the photos, papers and the embellishments you use.
Depending, of course, on where you happen to live, trips to the Beach can be an everyday event or a special occasion for vacation, family or friends.
Make your beach layouts reflect those differences.
These two Beach Scrapbook pages above convey the Peace, Solitude and Nature that one finds on the beach during an afternoon stroll near the waves.

Here, photos of the shells, combined with embellishments of shells that are single and double matted along with the purchased letter embellishments for the Title "Beach".
The Title and Shell beach scrapbook embellishments are all from Jolee's Title Waves "Beach" Sticker package.
The background and matte papers are from the Club Scrap Kit for Jan 2007 called "Framed". One of the unique things about this paper was the actual cut outs in some of the papers.
Here I used a dark gray centered over light gray paper. The letters for the Title were actually in the center of cut outs, mounted onto a shaded translucent under the cut outs.
As luck would have it, there were just enough cut outs in this paper to accommodate the 5 letters for the BEACH. Some of the other papers had different sizes and numbers of cut outs. This is one of my favorite beach scrapbook embellishments.
The photos are simple but mounted on mattes cut with an EK Success Corner Adorner which also adds to simple beauty.
This one was picked up at a local scrapbook store and cost $9.95.
They are available in a number of shapes and sizes to go with a number of themes.

These photos of daily living on the beach show some of the sea birds, landscape, shells and sand that can be so unique to the beach
The background paper is from Club Scrap's "Surf's Up" kit from July 2006.
I had a number of photos that could be cropped very small so I used two photos on each matte attached with photo corners. The photo corners were originally white and I used a blue ink pad to dye them blue to go with the background paper.
I also carried the blue photo corners to the outside edge of the back ground paper.
The tags and the white and blue tape holding the tags are also from the "Surf's Up" kit with beach scrapbook embellishments small starfish from Magic Scraps.

Focusing this time on the huge and very colorful Kites that were flying at the Beach.
Digital Scrapbooking Tip: These layouts above were done digitally. One thing I like to do with Digital Scrapbooking, is use an entire photo for background like I have done in these two Beach Scrapbook Layouts from Folly Beach, SC. Then I can put smaller photos onto the background where I don't mind covering up part of the larger photo. In this case, the kites were flying anyway, I just located the cropped photos of the kites in the sky portion of the photo I used for the background.

These Beach Scrapbook Layouts depict some of the more fun activities that can take place at the beach by groups playing Tug of War, Volley Ball, Land Ski Races and Water Balloon tossing.
Throughout the layouts are colorful embellishments from Jolees' of beach drinks, towels, sunglasses, flip flops, beach balls, sand castles and other beach scrapbook embellishments.
The papers used in these layouts are also from the Club Scrap Kit, "Framed." But while they use the same background colors and papers as the first layouts above, the finishing of the pages with the different embellishments, gives an entirely different look.
I found the really cool font the other day and wanted to share it with you. This font is called River City Sand-writing and it looks really cool for journaling on your Beach Scrapbook Pages. I wish I'd had it when I did these pages, so I think I'll purchase it 'cause living near the beach I'll have plenty of opportunities to use it. Here's where you can get the
River City Sandwriting Font.

Here are two layouts from Tami Potter's Mosaic Moments collection that make great beach or summer-time layouts. With the die cut phrases that say "Barefooten" and "Sand and Sun" and the four yellow sun shaped cornerstones, these color blocked layouts depict fun even before the photos go on.
This kit took about 15 minutes to put together and came with all the pre-cut pieces of card stock and die cuts. The only thing to complete these was an adhesive.

Here is another of Tami's color blocked page kits that would be great to use for Beach Scrapbook Layouts or other Summer Vacation.
The Palmetto Tree Die Cuts provide the calming and relaxing tone of a summer resort vacation even before the photos go on.
